     He is believed to have been sent into Ireland by King Charles I for the purpose of raising mounted troops, and was subsequently rewarded with grants of land at Ardlaman, County Limerick and on the Cashen River.¹

     Hyacinth Pollard was the daughter of Henry Pollard.¹ She married Arthur Noel Forwood, son of Sir Arthur Bower Forwood, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Eliza Baines, in 1923.¹ She died on 18 November 1972.¹
