     Eugenia Money Elliott was the daughter of Reverend Edward Bishop Elliott and Mary King.^1,2 She married Reverend Alexander Hamilton Synge, son of John Synge and Isabella Hamilton, in 1855.¹ She died in 1909.¹
     From 1855, her married name became Synge.¹

     Reverend Edward Bishop Elliott was born on 24 July 1793.² He was the son of Charles Elliott and Eling Venn.² He married, firstly, Mary King, daughter of J. King, on 26 April 1826.² He married, secondly, Harriette Steele, daughter of Sir Richard Steele, 3rd Bt., on 1 October 1835.² He died on 30 July 1875 at age 82.²

     John Lighton Synge was born on 23 March 1897.¹ He was the son of Edward Synge and Ellen Frances Price.¹ He married Elizabeth Eleanor Mabel Allen, daughter of Robert Allen and Frances Hanbridge, on 30 July 1918.¹
     He was educated at St. Andrew’s College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1943.¹ He was Senior Professor of Theoretical Physics in 1948 at Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was Director of the School of Theoretical Physics between 1952 and 1967 at Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was registered as a Member, Royal irish Academy (M.R.I.A.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)¹ He lived in 1976 at 8 Stillorgan Road, Blackrock, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Hubert Edmund Francis de Trafford was born on 27 November 1893.¹ He was the son of Charles Edmund de Trafford and Lady Agnes Mary Feilding.² He married Hon. Cecilia Victoria Strickland, daughter of Gerald Paul Joseph Cajetan Carmel Antony Martin Strickland, 1st and last Baron Strickland and Lady Edeline Sackville, on 18 October 1927.¹ He died on 21 March 1974 at age 80.¹
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Dragoons.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with King’s Own Malta Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Knight of Honour and Devotion, Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 1959.¹
