     William Traill was born on 3 August 1791.1 He was the son of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer.2 He married, firstly, Louisa Ann Lloyd, daughter of Venerable Thomas Lloyd and Elizabeth FitzGerald, on 11 November 1824.1 He married, secondly, Louisa Henrietta ffrench, daughter of Robert ffrench and Nicola Maria O’Brien, on 28 July 1836.1
     He was given the name of William Trail at birth.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He lived at Ballylough, County Antrim, IrelandG.1

Reverend Robert Trail1

     Reverend Robert Trail was born on 15 July 1793.1 He was the son of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer.2 He married Anne Hayes, daughter of Sir Samuel Hayes, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Lighton, on 11 February 1829 at St. Peter’s Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He died on 21 April 1847 at age 53.3
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)2 He lived at Stranorlar, County Donegal, IrelandG.4 He was the Rector at Skull, County Cork, IrelandG.1

     Anne Hayes was the daughter of Sir Samuel Hayes, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Lighton.2 She married Reverend Robert Trail, son of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer, on 11 February 1829 at St. Peter’s Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 She died in 1890.3
     From 11 February 1829, her married name became Trail.

     From 18 January 1856, her married name became Synge.3
