     Lilia Matilda Papillon was the daughter of Thomas Papillon and Frances Margaret Oxenden.² She married Admiral Edward Hardinge, son of Maj.-Gen. Richard Hardinge and Caroline Johnson Callander, on 15 September 1875.¹ She died on 31 July 1928.¹
     Her married name became Hardinge.

     Montagu Wilmot lived at Norton, Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales^G.²

     Lord Arthur Vincent Hay was born on 16 March 1886.² He was the son of William Montagu Hay, 10th Marquess of Tweeddale and Candida Louise Bartolucci.² He married Menda Ralli, daughter of Ambrose Ralli and Christine Alexandra Ralli, on 27 May 1911.¹ He died on 14 September 1914 at age 28, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Irish Guards.² He fought in the First World War.¹

     Menda Ralli was born on 24 March 1887.¹ She was the daughter of Ambrose Ralli and Christine Alexandra Ralli.¹ She married, firstly, Lord Arthur Vincent Hay, son of William Montagu Hay, 10th Marquess of Tweeddale and Candida Louise Bartolucci, on 27 May 1911.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel Robert Edward Kennard Leatham, son of Arthur William Leatham and Mary Elise Kennard, on 3 January 1916.¹ She died on 5 January 1959 at age 71.¹
     From 27 May 1911, her married name became Hay. From 3 January 1916, her married name became Leatham.

     Ambrose Ralli was born on 28 January 1851 at Marseilles, France^G.² He was the son of John Ralli and Mary Scaramanga.² He married Christine Alexandra Ralli, daughter of Richard Ralli and Eugenie Wood, on 28 April 1886 at Nice, France^G.² He died on 21 November 1896 at age 45 at London, England^G.²

     Colonel Robert Edward Kennard Leatham was the son of Arthur William Leatham and Mary Elise Kennard. He married Menda Ralli, daughter of Ambrose Ralli and Christine Alexandra Ralli, on 3 January 1916.² He died on 11 May 1948.²
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Welsh Guards.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Jean Hay was born on 27 August 1912.² She was the daughter of Lord Arthur Vincent Hay and Menda Ralli.^2,3 She married Lt.-Col. Sir William Vivian Makins, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Paul Augustine Makins, 2nd Bt. and Gladys Marie Vivian, on 4 April 1932.¹ She died in 1993.¹
     Her married name became Makins.

     Lt.-Col. Sir William Vivian Makins, 3rd Bt. was born on 19 January 1903.¹ He was the son of Sir Paul Augustine Makins, 2nd Bt. and Gladys Marie Vivian.² He married Jean Hay, daughter of Lord Arthur Vincent Hay and Menda Ralli, on 4 April 1932.¹ He died on 22 April 1969 at age 66.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was with the Sudan Defence Force, where he was mentioned in despatches between 1928 and 1930.¹ He was Assistant Military Secretary to Gibraltar between 1937 and 1939.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Welsh Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Makins, of Rotherfield Court, co. Oxford [U.K., 1903] on 10 September 1939.¹ He was Commandant between 1944 and 1946 at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1948.¹ He was admitted to Gentlemen-at-Arms in 1951.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1953.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire in 1960.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Lord Edward Douglas John Hay was born on 2 November 1888.¹ He was the son of William Montagu Hay, 10th Marquess of Tweeddale and Candida Louise Bartolucci.¹ He married, firstly, Violet Florence Catherine Barclay, daughter of Major Cameron Barclay and Hon. Charlotte Ernestine Horsley-Beresford, on 18 October 1917.¹ He married, secondly, Audrey Clara Lilian Latham, daughter of Sir Thomas Paul Latham, 1st Bt. and Florence Clara Walley, on 5 July 1928.¹ He died on 18 June 1944 at age 55 at Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Westminster, London, England^G, killed by enemy action.¹
     He fought in the First World War, in Gallipoli, Egypt and France.¹ He held the office of Member of the Essex County Council.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Essex Regiment.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Guards.¹

     Violet Florence Catherine Barclay was the daughter of Major Cameron Barclay and Hon. Charlotte Ernestine Horsley-Beresford.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Lord Edward Douglas John Hay, son of William Montagu Hay, 10th Marquess of Tweeddale and Candida Louise Bartolucci, on 18 October 1917.¹ She died on 17 March 1926.¹
     Her married name became Hay.
