Oxford [U.K., 1903] on 2 February 1906.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Oxfordshire in 1911.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1915 in the Remount Service.1
