Sir Paul Augustine Makins, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 June 1871.1 He was the son of Sir William Thomas Makins, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Simpson.2 He married, firstly, Gladys Marie Vivian, daughter of William Vivian, on 14 February 1900.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Wakefield, daughter of William Samuel Wakefield, on 27 June 1921.1 He died on 10 September 1939 at age 68.1
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Makins, of Rotherfield Court, co. Oxford [U.K., 1903] on 2 February 1906.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Oxfordshire in 1911.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1915 in the Remount Service.1

Captain Oscar Matthew Makins was born on 21 September 1872.1 He was the son of Sir William Thomas Makins, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Simpson.2 He married Marianne Hoylake, daughter of W. C. Hoylake, on 7 June 1909.1 He died on 5 July 1942 at age 69, without issue.1
He fought in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1
