Venerable Henry Williams1
Venerable Henry Williams was born on 11 February 1792 at Gosport, Hampshire, England.2 He is the son of Thomas Williams and Mary Marsh.2 He married Marianne Coldham on 20 January 1818.2 He died on 16 July 1867 at age 75 at Pakaraka, Northland, New Zealand.2
He gained the rank of Midshipman in 1807 in the Royal Navy.2 He was ordained in June 1822.3 He and Marianne Coldham emigrated along with their children to New Zealand arriving on 3 August 1823 on board Lord Sidmouth to Sydney, and later on board Brampton from Sydney.3 He was a missionary with the Church Missionary Society at New Zealand.2 He held the office of Archdeacon of Te Waimate in 1844.2
