Captain Archibald Douglas William Fletcher1 
Captain Archibald Douglas William Fletcher was born in 1821 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3 He was the son of Miles Angus Fletcher and Charlotte Catherine Clavering.2 He married Jane Mary Nicolls, daughter of General Sir Edward Nicolls and Eleanor Bristow, on 19 June 1848 at St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands.3 He died on 12 March 1882 at St. Oswalds Road, West Brompton, London, England.3
He was commander of the H.M. Steam Sloop Triton.2 He fought in the Crimean War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1
