     Philip Somerville is the son of Thomas Somerville and Mary Townsend.² He married, firstly, Maria Townsend, daughter of Reverend Horatio Townsend and Katherine Corker.¹ He married, secondly, Henrietta Anna Margaretta Townsend, daughter of Richard Townsend and Barbara Mellifont, in August 1816.²
     He lived at The Prairy, Schull, County Cork, Ireland^G.²

     Horatio Townsend was born in 1760.¹ He was the son of Reverend Edward Synge Townsend and Elizabeth Townsend.² He married Elizabeth Trelawny Townsend, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Samuel Irwin Townsend and Elizabeth Aikenhead, in 1799.² He died in 1844.¹

     Major Edward Townsend was the son of Horatio Townsend and Elizabeth Trelawny Townsend.² He married Isabella Townsend, daughter of Reverend Horatio Townsend and Katherine Corker.¹ He died in 1851 at Karachi, Pakistan^G, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 83rd Regiment.¹

     Susan Townsend was the daughter of Reverend Horatio Townsend and Katherine Corker.² She married Edward Hume Townshend, son of Reverend Richard Townshend and Henrietta Murray Hume.¹ She died in 1882.¹
     Her married name became Townshend.¹

     Reverend Richard Townshend was born in 1774. He was the son of Reverend Edward Synge Townsend and Elizabeth Townsend. He married Henrietta Murray Hume, daughter of Very Rev. John Hume.¹ He died on 6 March 1808.²
     He was the Rector at Magourney, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Edward Hume Townshend was born in 1803.¹ He was the son of Reverend Richard Townshend and Henrietta Murray Hume.² He married Susan Townsend, daughter of Reverend Horatio Townsend and Katherine Corker.¹ He died in 1880.¹
     He was a Revenue Commissioner.¹ He was with the Bombay Civil Service.¹ He lived at Cuilnaconara, Ireland.¹

     Harriet Townsend was the daughter of Reverend Horatio Townsend and Katherine Corker.² She died in 1887, unmarried.¹

     Caroline Charlotte Townsend was the daughter of Reverend Horatio Townsend and Katherine Corker.² She died, unmarried.¹
