     From 1847, her married name became Grant.²

     General Sir James Hope Grant was born on 21 July 1808 at Kilgraston, Perthshire, Scotland.³ He was the son of Francis Grant and Anne Oliphant.³ He was baptised on 13 August 1808 at Dunbarney, Perthshire, Scotland.³ He married Elizabeth Helen Tayler, daughter of Benjamin Tayler and Elizabeth Harrison O’Donollan, in 1847.¹ He died on 7 March 1875 at age 66 at 32 Grosvenor Gardens, Westminster, London, England.³
     He fought in the Indian Mutiny.¹ He fought in the China War in 1859, where he was responsible for burning the Summer Palace.¹
