     Edward Hume Townshend was born in 1866.¹ He was the son of Reverend Horace Webb Townshend and Annie Crawford.² He married Una Jane Cummins, daughter of William Jackson Cummins and Letitia Stevenson, in 1900.¹ He died in 1942.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)¹ He lived at The Sycamores, Legh Road, Knutsford, Cheshire, England^G.¹

     William Jackson Cummins was born in 1828.² He was the son of Robert King Cummins and Mary Jackson.² He married, firstly, Mary Elizabeth Thorn Connell, daughter of Joseph Connell, on 8 November 1853.² He married, secondly, Elizabeth Henrietta Poole, daughter of Thomas Poole, on 6 June 1863.² He married, thirdly, Letitia Stevenson, daughter of James Stevenson, on 5 July 1870.² He died on 20 March 1893.²
     He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)²

     Una Jane Cummins was born in 1875.² She was the daughter of William Jackson Cummins and Letitia Stevenson.² She married Edward Hume Townshend, son of Reverend Horace Webb Townshend and Annie Crawford, in 1900.¹ She died in 1937.¹
     From 1900, her married name became Townshend.

     Edward Noel Hume Townshend was born in 1911.¹ He is the son of Edward Hume Townshend and Una Jane Cummins.² He married Hilary Lowe in 1940.¹
     He adopted Susan Townshend.¹ He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He was a practising Solicitor.¹ He lived in 1976 at The Croft, Little Hampden, Great Missenden, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Hilary Lowe married Edward Noel Hume Townshend, son of Edward Hume Townshend and Una Jane Cummins, in 1940.¹

     Gillian (?) married Reverend Charles Hume Townshend, son of Edward Noel Hume Townshend and Hilary Lowe.¹
     Her married name became Townshend.
