Gavin George Hamilton, 2nd Baron Hamilton of Dalzell was born on 20 June 1872.1 He was the son of John Glencairn Carter Hamilton, 1st Baron Hamilton of Dalzell and Lady Emily Eleanor Leslie-Melville.1 He married Sybil Mary Marshall, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Marshall and Adelaide Laura Howard, on 24 July 1912.1 He died on 23 June 1952 at age 80.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Hamilton of Dalzell, co.
