     John Sykes was baptised in 1677.¹ He was the son of William Sykes and Elizabeth Stephenson.¹ He married Ellen Wilcock in 1718.¹ He died circa 1739.¹ He was buried in 1739.¹

     Magdalen Breadalbane Pringle was born on 29 December 1836 at Stitchel, Roxburghshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Sir John Pringle of Stichill, 5th Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Maitland Campbell.³ She married, firstly, Alexander Anderson on 9 July 1863.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Robert Bateson Harvey, 1st Bt., son of Robert Harvey and Jane Jemima Collins, on 21 January 1874.¹ She died on 28 April 1913 at age 76.¹
     From 9 July 1863, her married name became Anderson.¹ From 21 January 1874, her married name became Harvey.¹

     Alexander Anderson married Magdalen Breadalbane Pringle, daughter of Sir John Pringle of Stichill, 5th Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Maitland Campbell, on 9 July 1863.¹ He died in 1871.²
     He lived at Newstead, Australia^G.¹

     Sir Norman Pringle of Stichill, 6th Bt. was born on 22 July 1787.¹ He was the son of Sir James Pringle of Stichill, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Macleod.² He married Anne Steuart, daughter of Robert Steuart of Alderston, on 17 January 1826.¹ He died on 18 April 1870 at age 82.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 21st Regiment Northern British Fusiliers.¹ He was Consul to Stockholm and Dunkirk.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Pringle, of Stichill [N.S., 1683] on 15 June 1869.¹

     Eliza Pringle was the daughter of Sir James Pringle of Stichill, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Macleod.² She married Archibald Todd of Drygrange.¹ She died in October 1865.¹
     Her married name became Todd.¹

     Archibald Todd of Drygrange married Eliza Pringle, daughter of Sir James Pringle of Stichill, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Macleod.¹ He died before 1865.¹

     Ellen Wilcock married John Sykes, son of William Sykes and Elizabeth Stephenson, in 1718.¹
     From 1718, her married name became Sykes.¹

     Mary Sykes was baptised in 1672.¹ She was the daughter of William Sykes and Elizabeth Stephenson.¹ She married Abraham Ward.¹
     Her married name became Ward.¹

     Abraham Ward married Mary Sykes, daughter of William Sykes and Elizabeth Stephenson.¹

     Robert Steuart of Alderston married Louisa Clementina Drummond, daughter of John Drummond, 3rd of Logie Almond and Lady Catherine Murray, on 13 September 1805.²
     He lived at Alderston, East Lothian, Scotland^G.²
