He matriculated at St. Mary Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 26 June 1607.2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1608.2 He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 28 April 1610 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire from 1639 to 1640.1 He was created 1st Baronet Brownlow, of Belton, near Grantham, co. Lincoln [England] on 26 July 1641.2 In 1643 at Grantham, Lincolnshire, EnglandG, he was indicted for high treason, suggesting he was a royalist in the Civil War.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1665.1
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

Hon. Elizabeth Greville was the daughter of Fulke Greville, 5th Baron Brooke of Beauchamps Court and Sarah Dashwood.3,1 She married Francis North, 2nd Baron Guilford, son of Francis North, 1st Baron Guilford and Lady Frances Pope, on 25 February 1694/95.1 She died on 4 November 1699.1
After her marriage, Hon. Elizabeth Greville was styled as Baroness of Guilford on 25 February 1694/95. From 25 February 1694/95, her married name became North.
Francis North, 1st Baron Guilford1 

Francis North, 1st Baron Guilford was born on 22 October 1637 at Kirtling, Cambridgeshire, England.3,4 He was the son of Dudley North, 4th Baron North and Anne Montagu.5 He married Lady Frances Pope, daughter of Thomas Pope, 3rd Earl of Downe and Beata Poole, on 5 March 1671/72.3 He died on 5 September 1685 at age 47.3
He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1661 entitled to practise as a barrister.3 He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1668.3 He held the office of Solicitor-General between 1671 and 1673.3 He held the office of Attorney-General between 1673 and 1682.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for King’s Lynn from 1672/73 to 1675.3 He held the office of Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas between 1675 and 1682.3 He held the office of Speaker of the House of Lords in 1678.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1679.3 He held the office of Lord Keeper of the Great Seal between 1682 and 1685.3 He was created 1st Baron Guilford, co. Surrey [England] on 27 September 1683.3

Dudley North, 4th Baron North was born circa 1 November 1602.3 He was the son of Dudley North, 3rd Baron North and Frances Brocket.4 He married Anne Montagu, daughter of Sir Charles Montagu, on 24 April 1632.3 He died on 24 June 1677.3

James Compton, 5th Earl of Northampton 
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Warwickshire from 1710 to 1711.1 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Compton [E., 1572] on 28 December 1711, in his father’s lifetime.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Northampton [E., 1618] on 15 April 1727.3

Spencer Compton, 8th Earl of Northampton was born on 5 August 1738.1 He was the son of Hon. Charles Compton and Mary Lucy.3 He married, firstly, Jane Lawton, daughter of Henry Lawton, in 1758.1 He married, secondly, Anne Hougham, daughter of Culpeper Hougham, in 1769.1 He died on 7 April 1796 at age 57.1
He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.1 He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Northampton [E., 1618] on 18 October 1763.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Northampton between 1781 and 1783.1
