     Dorothy Shirley was the daughter of Sir Robert Shirley, 4th Bt. and Catherine Okeover.³ She married George Vernon, son of Henry Vernon and Merriall Vernon.¹ She died in 1680.²
     Her married name became Vernon.

     Lawrence Washington is the son of Sir Lawrence Washington and Anne Lewyn.¹ He married Eleanor Guise, daughter of William Guise and Cecilia Dennis.¹

     Anne Ferrers was the daughter of Sir Humphrey Ferrers.¹ She married Hon. Robert Shirley, son of Robert Shirley, 1st Earl Ferrers and Elizabeth Washington, on 27 September 1688.² She died in March 1698, from small pox.³ She was buried at Staunton Harold, Leicestershire, England.³
     From 27 September 1688, her married name became Shirley.¹

     Walter Edward Morris was born in 1863 at Ely, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was the son of Charles Sumpter Morris and Mary Ann Beatley.¹

     Hon. Robert Shirley was born on 4 September 1673.¹ He was the son of Robert Shirley, 1st Earl Ferrers and Elizabeth Washington.² He and Catherine Venables were engaged.¹ He married Anne Ferrers, daughter of Sir Humphrey Ferrers, on 27 September 1688.² He died on 25 February 1698/99 at age 25, from smallpox.¹ He was buried at Staunton Harold, Leicestershire, England, from small pox.³
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) on 11 January 1699.⁴

     Catherine Venables was the daughter of Peter Venables.² She and Hon. Robert Shirley were engaged.¹ She died in 1680.^1,3
