     Hon. Charles Francis Norton was born on 4 February 1807.¹ He was the son of Hon. Fletcher Norton and Caroline Elizabeth Balmain.¹ He married Maria Louisa Campbell, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Colin Campbell, on 29 December 1831.¹ He died on 27 October 1835 at age 28.¹
     He was granted the rank of a baron’s younger son.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the British Army.¹

     Thomas Lyster lived at Lysterfield, County Roscommon, Ireland^G.¹

     Johnston Jonas Forster lived at Moor Park, Ludlow, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Evelyn Hilda Stuart Erskine was born on 21 March 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Shipley Gordon Stuart Erskine, 14th Earl of Buchan and Rosalie Louisa Sartoris.¹ She married Walter Edward Guinness, 1st Baron Moyne, son of Edward Cecil Guinness, 1st Earl of Iveagh and Adelaide Maria Guinness, on 24 June 1903.¹ She died on 21 July 1939 at age 56.¹
     Her married name became Guinness. After her marriage, Lady Evelyn Hilda Stuart Erskine was styled as Baroness Moyne on 21 January 1932.

     Shipley Gordon Stuart Erskine, 14th Earl of Buchan was born on 27 February 1850.¹ He was the son of David Stuart Erskine, 13th Earl of Buchan and Agnes Graham Smith.¹ He married Rosalie Louisa Sartoris, daughter of Captain Jules Alexandre Sartoris, on 9 November 1876 at St. Luke’s Church, Maidenhead, Berkshire, England^G.² He died on 16 April 1934 at age 84 at London, England^G.³ He was buried on 19 April 1934 at Dryburgh Abbey, Scotland^G.³
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cambridgeshire.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Buchan [S., 1469] on 3 December 1898.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Lord Auchterhouse [S., 1469] on 3 December 1898.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Lord Cardross [S., 1610] on 3 December 1898.¹

     Rosalie Louisa Sartoris was the daughter of Captain Jules Alexandre Sartoris.¹ She married Shipley Gordon Stuart Erskine, 14th Earl of Buchan, son of David Stuart Erskine, 13th Earl of Buchan and Agnes Graham Smith, on 9 November 1876 at St. Luke’s Church, Maidenhead, Berkshire, England^G.² She died on 29 January 1943, in an accident.¹
     Her married name became Erskine. After her marriage, Rosalie Louisa Sartoris was styled as Countess of Buchan on 3 December 1898.

     Captain Jules Alexandre Sartoris lived at Hopsford Hall, Coventry, Warwickshire, England^G.¹

     David Steuart Erskine, 11th Earl of Buchan was born on 1 June 1742.¹ He was the son of Henry David Erskine, 10th Earl of Buchan and Agnes Steuart. He married Margaret Fraser, daughter of William Fraser of Fraserfield and Rachel Kennedy, on 15 October 1771 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.² He died on 19 April 1829 at age 86 at Dryburgh Abbey, Scotland^G, without legitimate issue.³ He was buried at Dryburgh Abbey, Scotland^G.³
     He was educated at Foulis Academy, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at Leiden University, Leiden, The Netherlands^G.¹ He graduated from University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, in 1763 with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)² He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1765.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.) in 1766.¹ He was Secretary of the British Embassy between 1766 and 1767 at Madrid, Spain^G.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Lord Cardross [S., 1610] on 1 December 1767.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Lord Auchterhouse [S., 1469] on 1 December 1767.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Earl of Buchan [S., 1469] on 1 December 1767.¹ He was a founder of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.¹
     Sir Walter Scott wrote that he was “a person whose immense vanity, bordering upon insaity, obscured or rather eclipsed very considerable talents.”³

     Hon. Henry Erskine was born on 1 November 1746.¹ He was the son of Henry David Erskine, 10th Earl of Buchan and Agnes Steuart.¹ He married, firstly, Christian Fullerton, daughter of George Fullerton, on 30 March 1772.¹ He married, secondly, Erskine Munro, daughter of Alexander Munro and Margaret Stark, on 7 January 1805.¹ He died on 8 October 1817 at age 70.¹
     Hon. Henry Erskine also went by the nick-name of Harry.¹ He was a practising advocate in 1768.¹ He was a practising King’s Advocate in 1783.¹ He was Dean Faculty of Advocates in 1786.¹ He lived at Amondell, Linlithgow, Scotland^G.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
     

     Christian Fullerton was the daughter of George Fullerton.¹ She married Hon. Henry Erskine, son of Henry David Erskine, 10th Earl of Buchan and Agnes Steuart, on 30 March 1772.¹ She died on 9 May 1804.¹
     Her married name became Erskine.
