     Lady Elizabeth Lindsay was the daughter of John Lindsay, 17th Earl of Crawford and Lady Margaret Hamilton.¹ She married David Carnegie, 3rd Earl of Northesk, son of David Carnegie, 2nd Earl of Northesk and Lady Jean Maule, on 2 September 1669.² She died in January 1688.¹
     Her married name became Carnegie. After her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Lindsay was styled as Countess of Northesk on 12 December 1679.

     David Carnegie, 3rd Earl of Northesk was born in November 1643.¹ He was the son of David Carnegie, 2nd Earl of Northesk and Lady Jean Maule.² He married Lady Elizabeth Lindsay, daughter of John Lindsay, 17th Earl of Crawford and Lady Margaret Hamilton, on 2 September 1669.¹ He died on 3 October 1688 at age 44.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Northesk [S., 1647] on 12 December 1679.² He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Rosehill and Eglismauldie [S., 1639] on 12 December 1679.²

     George Maule, 2nd Earl of Panmure was the son of Patrick Maule, 1st Earl of Panmure and Frances Stanhope. He married Lady Jean Campbell, daughter of John Campbell, 1st Earl of Loudoun and Margaret Campbell, 2nd Baroness Campbell of Loudoun. He died on 24 March 1671.
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Maule, of Brechin and Navar [S., 1646] on 22 December 1661. He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Panmure [S., 1646] on 22 December 1661.

     Colonel James Lindsay was the son of William Lindsay, 18th Earl of Crawford and Lady Mary Johnstone.¹ He died in 1707 at Almanza, Spain^G, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Battle of Almanza in 1707.¹

     Patrick Lindsay was the son of William Lindsay, 18th Earl of Crawford and Lady Mary Johnstone.¹ He died before 1698, without issue.¹

     Captain William Lindsay was baptised on 3 April 1705 at Ceres, Fife, Scotland.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. John Lindsay, 19th Earl of Crawford and Hon. Emilia Stuart.¹ He married Isobel Mair.³ He died before 1 May 1755.⁴
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Henry James Hamilton Bethune was born on 8 June 1834.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Lindsay Bethune of Kilconquhar, 1st Bt. and Coutts Trotter.¹ He died on 5 July 1862 at age 28 at Marseilles, France^G, without issue.¹

     Martin William Bethune was born on 17 June 1843.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Lindsay Bethune of Kilconquhar, 1st Bt. and Coutts Trotter.¹ He died on 15 September 1859 at age 16, without issue.¹

     Lady Anne Katherine Bethune was born circa 1826. She was the daughter of Sir Henry Lindsay Bethune of Kilconquhar, 1st Bt. and Coutts Trotter.^1,2 She married John Thomas Campbell, son of Major John Campbell, on 29 April 1856.² She died on 23 March 1903.²
     Her married name became Campbell.

     John Thomas Campbell was the son of Major John Campbell.¹ He married Lady Anne Katherine Bethune, daughter of Sir Henry Lindsay Bethune of Kilconquhar, 1st Bt. and Coutts Trotter, on 29 April 1856.¹
