Edith Murdoch Tait1 
Edith Murdoch Tait was the daughter of Most Rev. Rt. Hon. Archibald Campbell Tait and Catherine Spooner.1,3 She married Most Rev. & Rt. Hon Randall Thomas Davidson, 1st Baron Davidson of Lambeth, son of Henry Davidson and Henrietta Swinton, on 12 November 1878.1 She died in June 1936.1
From 12 November 1878, her married name became Davidson.1 After her marriage, Edith Murdoch Tait was styled as Baroness Davidson of Lambeth on 14 February 1928.

Most Rev. Rt. Hon. Archibald Campbell Tait1,2 
Most Rev. Rt. Hon. Archibald Campbell Tait was born on 21 December 1811 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 He was the son of Craufurd Tait and Susan Campbell.4,2 He married Catherine Spooner, daughter of Venerable William Spooner, on 22 June 1843 at Elmdon, Warwickshire, England.2 He died in December 1882.2
He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)1 He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He held the office of Bishop of London between 1856 and 1868.2 He held the office of Archbishop of Canterbury between 1869 and 1882.1

John Christopher Burton Dawnay, 5th Viscount Downe1 
He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Downe [I., 1681] on 21 December 1780.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Petersfield between 1787 and 1790.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Wootton Bassett between 1790 and 1796.3 He was created 1st Baron Dawnay of Cowick, co. York [Great Britain] on 9 June 1796.1
On his death, his barony became extinct.1
