Rt. Hon. James Edward Ramsden was born on 1 November 1923.3 He was the son of Captain Edward Ramsden and Geraldine Wilson.3 He married Juliet Barbara Anna Ponsonby, daughter of Colonel Sir Charles Edward Ponsonby, 1st Bt. and Hon. Winifred Marian Gibbs, on 25 June 1949.1 He died on 29 March 2020 at age 96.4
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Harrogate between 1954 and 1974.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1963.3

Christopher John Beckett, 4th Baron Grimthorpe was born on 16 September 1915.1 He was the son of Ralph William Ernest Beckett, 3rd Baron Grimthorpe and Mary Alice Archdale.3 He married Lady Elizabeth Lumley, daughter of Lawrence Roger Lumley, 11th Earl of Scarbrough and Katherine Isobel McEwen, on 17 February 1954.1 He died on 6 July 2003 at age 87.3
