     Francis Ramsay was born on 20 November 1815.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt. and Jane Russell.1 He married Georgina Hay Home, daughter of William Foreman Home of Wedderburn, on 10 February 1848.1 He died on 25 December 1867 at age 52.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.1

     Mary Ramsay was born circa 1813.1 She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt. and Jane Russell.1 She married, firstly, Reverend Bruges Lambert on 10 August 1837.1 She married, secondly, John Sparkes on 25 February 1845.1 She died on 5 January 1890.1
     From 10 August 1837, her married name became Lambert.1 From 25 February 1845, her married name became Sparkes.1 She lived at Crewkerne, Somerset, England.1

     Elizabeth Ramsay was baptised on 12 May 1818 at Fettercairn, Kincardineshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt. and Jane Russell.1 She married, secondly, Charles Murray Barstow on 13 June 1860.1 She married, firstly, John Carr, son of John Carr, on 6 June 1843.1 She died on 14 February 1887 at age 68.1
     From 6 June 1843, her married name became Carr.1 From 13 June 1860, her married name became Barstow.1

     He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)4 He held the office of Dean of Edinburgh.1

     Isabella Cochran was born on 17 October 1784.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Cochran and Jane Allan.1,2 She married Reverend Edward Bannerman Ramsay, son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bannerman, on 7 March 1829 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.1,3 She died in July 1858 at age 73.4,3
     From 7 March 1829, her married name became Ramsay.1 She lived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.4

     Thomas Cochran was born in 1733 at Ireland.3 He was the son of Joseph Cochran.3 He married, firstly, unknown wife (?) at Ireland.4 He married, secondly, Jane Allan, daughter of Major William Allan and Isabella Maxwell, on 7 February 1775.3 He died on 26 August 1801.3
     He held the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives [Nova Scotia] in November 1784.2 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Nova Scotia] circa 1788.5

     Sir John Edensor Heathcote was born in 1758 at Longton Hall, Staffordshire, England.1 He was the son of Michael Heathcote and Rachel Edensor.1 He married Anne Gresley, daughter of Sir Nigel Gresley, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Wynn, in 1780 at Knypersley, Staffordshire, England.1 He died in 1822.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1784.1 He was appointed Knight in 1784.1
