     Essex Jane Chatfield-Roberts was born on 28 November 1963.¹ She is the daughter of Colonel Graham Chatfield Chatfield-Roberts and Mary Essex Gunning Brooke.¹ She married Richard Henry Close-Smith, son of Henry Temple Close-Smith and Cicely Margaret Wingfield Hill, on 1 August 2001.²
     From 1 August 2001, her married name became Close-Smith.²

     Geoffrey Thomas Brooke was born on 19 October 1896.¹ He is the son of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton.¹ He married Millicent Bettine Seaton, daughter of Major H. H. D. Seaton, in 1942.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 16th Lancers.¹ He fought in the First World War in 1914.¹ He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.¹

     Millicent Bettine Seaton is the daughter of Major H. H. D. Seaton.¹ She married, secondly, Geoffrey Thomas Brooke, son of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton, in 1942.¹
     Her married name became Stewart.¹ From 1942, her married name became Brooke.¹

     Emily Henrietta Brooke was the daughter of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton.¹ She married Henry Seymour Persse, son of Henry Sadleir Persse and Eleanor Alice Seymour, on 18 June 1921.¹ She died on 2 August 1953.¹
     From 18 June 1921, her married name became Persse.¹

     Henry Seymour Persse was born on 17 June 1869.² He was the son of Henry Sadleir Persse and Eleanor Alice Seymour.^1,3 He married Emily Henrietta Brooke, daughter of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton, on 18 June 1921.¹ He died on 5 September 1960 at age 91.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.² He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was a racehorse trainer.² He was Master of Foxhounds, County Limerick between 1928 and 1932.²

     Henry Sadleir Persse was born on 17 November 1832.² He was the son of Burton de Burgh Persse and Matilda Persse.³ He married Eleanor Alice Seymour, daughter of Colonel Thomas Seymour, on 13 June 1862.² He died on 8 March 1899 at age 66.² He was buried at New Cemetery, Bohermore, County Galway, Ireland.⁴
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He held the office of High Sheriff of Galway Town in 1868.² He lived at Glenarde, County Galway, Ireland^G.³ He lived at Kiltullagh, County Galway, Ireland.²

     John Henry Persse was born on 4 May 1922.² He was the son of Henry Seymour Persse and Emily Henrietta Brooke.¹ He died on 20 June 1944 at age 22 at Italy^G, killed in action.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.² He fought in the Second World War, in the 7th Battalion, Rifle Brigade.¹

     Rose Dorothy Brooke is the daughter of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton.¹

     Charles C. Thompson is the son of S/Ldr. James Thompson.¹ He married Emma Nancy Brooke, daughter of Major Sir George Francis Cecil Brooke, 3rd Bt. and Lady Melissa Eva Caroline Wyndham-Quin, in 1993.¹
