     Lt.-Col. Augustine Henry Brooke was born on 25 February 1884.¹ He was the son of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton.¹ He died on 27 July 1958 at age 74, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 19th King George V’s Own Lancers, Indian Army.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Major Arthur Charles Brooke was born in September 1886.¹ He was the son of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton.¹ He died on 27 April 1954 at age 67, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.¹ He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.¹ He was commnader of the Oxfordshire Yeomanry.¹

     Captain John Brooke was born on 2 October 1887.¹ He was the son of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton.¹ He married Margaret Winifred Arnold Tothill, daughter of Colonel Francis Tothill, on 14 June 1918.¹ He died on 13 March 1974 at age 86.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was Chief Constable of the R.M. Police between 1936 and 1946.¹ He lived at Hart’s Gorse, Beddingham, Lewes, Sussex, England^G.²

     Margaret Winifred Arnold Tothill is the daughter of Colonel Francis Tothill.¹ She married Captain John Brooke, son of Sir George Frederick Brooke, 1st Bt. and Emily Alma Barton, on 14 June 1918.¹
     Margaret Winifred Arnold Tothill also went by the nick-name of Midge.¹ From 14 June 1918, her married name became Brooke.¹ She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1971.¹
