Frederick Keppel1 
Frederick Keppel was born on 12 November 1762.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Frederick Keppel and Laura Walpole.1 He married Louisa Clive, daughter of George Clive and Sydney Bolton, on 5 August 1796.1 He died on 12 April 1830 at age 67.1 He was also reported to have died on 12 April 1820.3
He lived at Lexham Hall, Norfolk, EnglandG.3

William Charles Keppel, 4th Earl of Albemarle1 
William Charles Keppel, 4th Earl of Albemarle was born on 14 May 1772.1 He was the son of General George Keppel, 3rd Earl of Albemarle and Anne Miller.1 He was baptised on 8 June 1772 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Elizabeth Southwell, daughter of Edward Southwell, 20th Lord Clifford and Sophia Campbell, on 9 April 1792 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 He married, secondly, Charlotte Susannah Hunloke, daughter of Sir Henry Hunloke, 4th Bt. and Margaret Coke, on 11 February 1822 at Upper Grosvenor Street, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 30 October 1849 at age 77 at Quidenham, Norfolk, EnglandG.3 His will was proven (by probate) in February 1850.3
He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Albemarle [E., 1697] on 13 October 1772.1 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Bury, co. Lancaster [E., 1697] on 13 October 1772. He succeeded as the 4th Baron Ashford, of Ashford, Kent [E., 1697] on 13 October 1772. He held the office of Master of the Buckhounds between 1806 and 1807.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1830.1 He held the office of Master of the Horse between 1830 and 1834.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.) in 1833 civil.1 He held the office of Master of the Horse between 1835 and 1841.1
The Duke of Sussex wrote to Coke of Norfolk in 1833, “you will laugh when I tell you that the King took Albemarle by surprise, and has made him a Knight of the Thistle. I do not think the members of the House enjoyed it, but it could not be helped.” Gibbs comments, “Albemarle had no connexion by blood or estate with Scotland, so apparently the King’s blunder was helped by making him G.C.H. instead.”1
