Lord Martin Fitzalan-Howard1 

Lord Martin Fitzalan-Howard was born on 22 October 1922.3 He was the son of Bernard Edward Fitzalan-Howard, 3rd Baron Howard of Glossop and Mona Josephine Tempest Stapleton, Baroness Beaumont.4 He married Bridget Anne Keppel, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arnold Ramsay Keppel and Laura Margaret Martin, on 5 October 1948 at St. James Church, Spanish Place, London, EnglandG.1,5 He died on 1 August 2003 at age 80.5
He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.5 He fought in the Second World War.5 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.5 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire in 1966.5 In 1975 he was granted the rank of a duke’s younger son.5 He held the office of High Sheriff of North Yorkshire between 1979 and 1980.5 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of North Yorkshire in 1982.5
