     Fanny Catherine Knight was born in 1793.² She was the daughter of Edward Knight and Elizabeth Bridges.^1,3 She married Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Knatchbull, 9th Bt., son of Sir Edward Knatchbull, 8th Bt. and Mary Hugessen, on 24 October 1820.³ She died on 24 December 1882 at Provender, Kent, England^G.³
     From 24 October 1820, her married name became Knatchbull.¹

     Elizabeth Bridges was born in 1773.² She was the daughter of Sir Brook William Bridges, 3rd Bt. and Fanny Fowler.^1,3 She married Edward Knight, son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh, in 1791.⁴ She died in 1808.²
     From 1791, her married name became Knight.²

     Reverend George Austen was baptised on 12 May 1731.^1,2 He was the son of William Austen and Rebecca Hampson.¹ He married Cassandra Leigh, daughter of Reverend Thomas Leigh and Jane Walker, on 26 April 1764.³ He died in 1805.¹
     He was the Rector at Steventon, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Cassandra Leigh was born on 26 September 1739.² She was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Leigh and Jane Walker.¹ She married Reverend George Austen, son of William Austen and Rebecca Hampson, on 26 April 1764.³ She died on 17 January 1827 at age 87.²
     From 26 April 1764, her married name became Austen.¹

     Reverend James Austen was born in 1765.¹ He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.¹ He married, firstly, Anne Mathew, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward Mathew and Lady Jane Bertie, in 1792.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Lloyd on 17 January 1797.^1,2 He died on 13 December 1819.^1,2
     He was Rector at Steventon, Hampshire, England.² He graduated from St. John’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1788 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He gained the rank of Chaplain in the 85th Foot.²

     George Austen was born in 1766.¹ He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.¹ He died in 1838, unmarried.¹
     He was an invalid.¹

     Reverend Henry Thomas Austen was born in 1771.¹ He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hancock, daughter of Tysoe Saul Hancock and Philadelphia Austen, in 1797.¹ He married, secondly, Eleanor Jackson, daughter of Henry Jackson, in 1820.² He died in 1850.¹
     He graduated from St. John’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1796 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He gained the rank of Captain in 1797 in the Oxforshire Militia.² He was Rector in 1820 at Steventon, Hampshire, England.²

     Admiral Charles John Austen was born in 1779.¹ He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.¹ He married, firstly, Frances Fitzwilliam Palmer, daughter of John Grove Palmer and Dorothy Ball, in 1807.² He married, secondly, Harriet Abel Palmer, daughter of John Grove Palmer and Dorothy Ball, on 7 August 1820 at Old St. Pancras Church, St. Pancras, London, England^G.³ He died in 1852.¹
     He was educated at Royal Naval Academy, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England^G.⁴ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1840.³ He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1846.³ He was Commander-in-Chief of the East Indies and China Station between 1850 and 1852.⁴

     Jane Austen was born on 16 December 1775.² She was the daughter of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.¹ She died on 18 July 1817 at age 41, unmarried.²
     She wrote the book Persuasion.¹ She wrote the book Sense and Sensibility, published 1811.¹ She wrote the book Pride and Prejudice, published 1813. She wrote the book Mansfield Park, published 1814.¹ She wrote the book Emma, published 1816.¹ She wrote the book Northanger Abbey, published 1818.²

     Admiral Sir Francis William Austen was born in 1774.¹ He was the son of Reverend George Austen and Cassandra Leigh.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Gibson, daughter of John Gibson, on 24 July 1806.¹ He married, secondly, Martha Lloyd, daughter of Reverend Noyes Lloyd, in 1828.¹ He died in 1865.¹
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1860.² He gained the rank of Admiral of the Fleet in 1863 in the Royal Navy.²
     He had 9 other children by his first wife.¹
