He was Chamberlain to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1876 and 1880.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Meath.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Battalion, Leinster Regiment.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Meath in 1901.2 He was Comptroller and Chamberlain to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1902 and 1905.2 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1903.2 He held the office of Secretary of the order of St. Patrick.2 He was created 1st Baronet Lambart, of Beau Parc, co. Meath [U.K.] on 13 July 1911.3 He gained the rank of Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 5th Battalion, Leinster Regiment.2
