     He was a surgeon.¹

     Rebecca Hampson was born circa 1696.² She was the daughter of Sir George Hampson, 4th Bt. and Mary Coghill.^2,3 She married, firstly, William Walter.¹ She married, secondly, William Austen, son of John Austen and Elizabeth Weller, on 12 January 1727 at London, England.² She died on 6 February 1732 at Tonbridge, Kent, England.² She was buried on 8 February 1732 at St. Peter and St. Paul Parish Church, Tonbridge, Kent, England.²
     Her married name became Walter.¹ From 12 January 1727, her married name became Austen.¹

     Leonora Austen was baptised on 22 January 1733.² She was the daughter of William Austen and Rebecca Hampson.¹ She died in 1783.²

     Hampson Austen was baptised on 14 September 1728.² He was the son of William Austen and Rebecca Hampson.¹ He died circa 10 July 1730.² He was buried on 13 July 1730 at St. Peter and St. Paul Parish Church, Tonbridge, Kent, England.²
