     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1912 in the 19th Yorkshire Regiment.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1916.² He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1919.² He retired from the military in 1920, with the rank of Brigadier-General.²

     Evelyne Hilliard was born at Writtle, Essex, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of T. E. B. Hilliard.¹ She married Brig.-Gen. Gerard Christian, son of Alfred Christian and Frances Emily Hall, on 16 September 1913.² She died on 4 May 1931.²
     From 16 September 1913, her married name became Christian.²

     T. E. B. Hilliard lived at Castleton mansions, Barnes, London, England^G.² He lived at Writtle, Essex, England^G.²

     Margaret Eliza Christian was born in 1863.¹ She was the daughter of Alfred Christian and Frances Emily Hall.¹ She married Maj-Gen. Sir Charles Parsons in 1898.² She died on 13 March 1946.¹
     From 1898, her married name became Parsons.²

     Maj-Gen. Sir Charles Parsons married Margaret Eliza Christian, daughter of Alfred Christian and Frances Emily Hall, in 1898.¹ He died on 27 June 1923.²
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He held the office of Governor of Newfoundland.²

     Alfreda May Parsons was born on 19 November 1899.¹ She was the daughter of Maj-Gen. Sir Charles Parsons and Margaret Eliza Christian.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Gabriel Charles Alan Breitmeyer, son of Ludwig Breitmeyer and Mary Carteretta Valpy.¹ She died in 1963.²
     Her married name became Breitmeyer.¹

     Reverend James Moore was born in 1835.¹ He was the son of Henry Nourse Moore and Christian Lucas.¹ He married Edel Philips in 1870.¹ He died in 1879.¹
     He was the Rector at All Saints, Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Frances Annabella Cokayne was born on 21 July 1795.² She was the daughter of Hon. William Cokayne and Barbara Hill.² She married William Assheton, son of William Assheton and Lettice Brooke, on 9 August 1816.¹ She died on 25 July 1835 at age 40.¹
     From 9 August 1816, her married name became Assheton.¹

     Ralph Assheton was born in 1719.¹ He was the son of Ralph Assheton and Mary Lister.^1,2 He married Rebecca Hulls, daughter of William Hulls.¹ He died in 1758.¹
