     William Stewart, 2nd Lord Blantyre was the son of Walter Stewart, 1st Lord of Blantyre and Nichola Somerville.1 He married Helen Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott and Jean Skene, before 12 August 1615.1 He died on 29 November 1638.1
     He was appointed Knight Bachelor on 2 June 1610.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Blantyre [S., 1606] on 8 March 1617.1

     Alexander Stewart, 4th Lord Blantyre was born after 1631.1 He was the son of William Stewart, 2nd Lord Blantyre and Helen Scott.1 He married Margaret Shaw, daughter of John Shaw and Helen Houston, circa September 1649.1 He died circa May 1676 at Bute, ScotlandG, probably from smallpox.2
     He succeeded as the 4th Lord Blantyre [S., 1606] in October 1641.1 In 1647 he was one of the “Engagers” for King Charles I, but he escaped punishment dut to his youth.1
