     Frances Harriet Baird was born on 5 June 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Sir William James Gardiner Baird of Saughtonhall, 8th Bt. and Hon. Arabella Rose Evelyn Hozier.¹ She married John Eduff Blagrave Swinton, 32nd of that Ilk, son of John Edulphus Swinton, 31st of that Ilk and Frances Jane Ainslie, on 22 November 1910.² She died on 4 June 1955 at age 74, without issue.¹
     From 22 November 1910, her married name became Swinton.¹

     John Eduff Blagrave Swinton, 32nd of that Ilk was born on 6 August 1864.² He was the son of John Edulphus Swinton, 31st of that Ilk and Frances Jane Ainslie.² He married Frances Harriet Baird, daughter of Sir William James Gardiner Baird of Saughtonhall, 8th Bt. and Hon. Arabella Rose Evelyn Hozier, on 22 November 1910.² He died on 23 March 1931 at age 66.¹ He was also reported to have died on 25 March 1941.²
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Lothians and Border Horse.² He lived at Swinton Bank, Peebles-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     Mary Rose Baird was born circa February 1882.¹ She was the daughter of Sir William James Gardiner Baird of Saughtonhall, 8th Bt. and Hon. Arabella Rose Evelyn Hozier.¹ She died on 29 May 1882.¹

     Sir Henry Baker, 1st Bt. was born circa 1587 at Cranbrook, Kent, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir John Baker and Mary Guildford.¹ He married Catharine Smythe, daughter of Sir John Smythe and Elizabeth Fineux, before 1608.¹ He died circa November 1623.¹ He was buried on 4 December 1623 at Cranbrook, Kent, England^G.²
     He matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 6 June 1600.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 31 May 1603 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Middle Temple, as a student in 1604.¹ He was appointed Knight on 15 July 1606 at Oatlands, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Baker, of Sissinghurst, co. Kent [England] on 29 June 1611.¹

     Mary Guildford was born in 1564.² She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Guildford.¹ She married Sir John Baker, son of Sir Richard Baker and Catherine Tirrell.¹
     Her married name became Baker.¹

     Sir Thomas Guildford lived at Hempstead, Kent, England^G.¹

     Catharine Smythe was the daughter of Sir John Smythe and Elizabeth Fineux.² She married Sir Henry Baker, 1st Bt., son of Sir John Baker and Mary Guildford, before 1608.¹
     From before 1608, her married name became Baker.¹

     Sir John Smythe was born in 1556.² He was the son of Thomas Smythe and Alice Judd.³ He married Elizabeth Fineux, daughter of John Fineux.¹ He died in 1608.²
     He lived at Ostenhanger, Kent, England^G.¹ He was appointed Knight.
