     Major Errold Ashworth Sydney Cosby was born on 15 December 1898 at Hampshire, England.^2,3 He was the son of Dudley Sydney Ashworth Cosby and Emily Mabel Gubbins.⁴ He married Enid Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of Major Maurice William Chetwode Hamilton and Enid Helen Sinclair, on 14 June 1934.² He died in 1984.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He fought in the First World War.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Major in the The Rifle Brigade.² He fought in the Second World War.² He lived in 1976 at Stradbally Hall, County Laois, Ireland^G.¹

     Catherine Gwendolyn Smart is the daughter of James Smart.¹ She married Major William Henry Gardiner Baird, son of William Frank Gardiner Baird and Violet Mary Croft, in 1966.¹
