     Sir George Gough Arbuthnot was born on 28 August 1847.¹ He was the son of Archibald Francis Arbuthnot and Hon. Gertrude Sophia Gough.¹ He married Isabella Albinia Boyle, daughter of Reverend Hon. Richard Cavendish Boyle and Eleanor Vere Gordon, on 9 September 1873.¹ He died on 3 May 1929 at age 81.¹
     He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Madras]¹ He was chairman of the Madras Chamber of Commerce.¹

     Isabella Albinia Boyle was the daughter of Reverend Hon. Richard Cavendish Boyle and Eleanor Vere Gordon.^1,2 She married Sir George Gough Arbuthnot, son of Archibald Francis Arbuthnot and Hon. Gertrude Sophia Gough, on 9 September 1873.¹ She died on 25 August 1929.¹
     From 9 September 1873, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Eleanor Mary Arbuthnot was born on 12 September 1874.¹ She was the daughter of Sir George Gough Arbuthnot and Isabella Albinia Boyle.¹ She died on 9 August 1875.¹

     Cecilia Albinia Arbuthnot was the daughter of Sir George Gough Arbuthnot and Isabella Albinia Boyle.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Hon. Robert Lygon, son of Frederick Lygon, 6th Earl Beauchamp and Lady Emily Annora Charlotte Pierrepont, on 10 October 1903.¹ She died on 19 March 1956.¹
     From 10 October 1903, her married name became Lygon.¹

     Frances Arbuthnot was born in 1843 at India^G.² She was the daughter of Archibald Francis Arbuthnot and Hon. Gertrude Sophia Gough.¹ She married Rt. Hon. Sir John Henry Kennaway, 3rd Bt., son of Sir John Kennaway, 2nd Bt. and Emily Frances Kingscote, on 27 November 1866.¹ She died on 23 October 1922.¹
     From 27 November 1866, her married name became Kennaway.¹

     Rt. Hon. Sir John Henry Kennaway, 3rd Bt. was born on 6 June 1837 at London, England^G.^3,4 He was the son of Sir John Kennaway, 2nd Bt. and Emily Frances Kingscote.³ He married Frances Arbuthnot, daughter of Archibald Francis Arbuthnot and Hon. Gertrude Sophia Gough, on 27 November 1866.¹ He died on 23 September 1919 at age 82.^3,4
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devon East between 1870 and 1885.³ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Kennaway, of Escot, Devon [G.B., 1791] on 19 February 1873.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon.³ He was a practising barrister.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Honiton between 1885 and 1910.³ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1897.¹ He was President of the Church Missionary Society.³ He was awarded the Royal Officers’ Decoration (V.D.)³ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Devon Regiment.³
