     Robert George Arbuthnot was born on 20 May 1843.¹ He was the son of Archibald Francis Arbuthnot and Hon. Gertrude Sophia Gough.¹ He married Helen Mary Muir, daughter of Sir William Muir, on 22 December 1885.¹ He died on 19 March 1890 at age 46.¹
     He was a barrister.¹

     Helen Mary Muir was the daughter of Sir William Muir.¹ She married Robert George Arbuthnot, son of Archibald Francis Arbuthnot and Hon. Gertrude Sophia Gough, on 22 December 1885.¹ She died on 20 June 1926.¹
     From 22 December 1885, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Sir William Muir held the office of Principal of the University of Edinburgh.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)¹

     Robert Wemyss Muir Arbuthnot was born on 25 July 1889.¹ He was the son of Robert George Arbuthnot and Helen Mary Muir.¹ He married Mary Coghill, daughter of Norman Alfred Coghill, on 3 July 1915.¹ He died on 10 January 1962 at age 72.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1910 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Field Artillery (Special Reserve.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded twice.¹ He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.¹

     Mary Coghill was born on 11 November 1891 at Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Norman Alfred Coghill.¹ She married Robert Wemyss Muir Arbuthnot, son of Robert George Arbuthnot and Helen Mary Muir, on 3 July 1915.¹ She died in 1986 at Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England^G.^1,2
     From 3 July 1915, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Falconer Alexander Wallace was born in 1949.¹ He is the son of Alexander Lewis Paget Falconer Wallace.¹ He married Laura Margaret Mott-Radclyffe, daughter of Major Sir Charles Edward Mott-Radclyffe and Diana Anstice Williamina Gibbs.¹
