[Scotland] in 1526.3 He held the office of Chief Carver to King James V in 1528.3 He held the office of Extraordinary Lord of Session in 1533.3 He held the office of a Lord of Regency in 1537.3 He fought in the Battle of Solway Moss on 24 November 1542, where he was taken prisoner by the English.3

Sir William Douglas, 6th of Drumlanrig1

In 1492 he was granted a charter of Drumlanrig Castle.2 In 1500 he was granted a charter of Dalgarnock.1 In 1509 he was granted a charter of the territorial barony of Tibberis.1 In 1511 he was granted a charter of the territorial barony of Hawick.1 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.1
