     Venerable Justly Hill was born in 1783 at Bonchurch, Isle of Wight, England^G.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Hill and Elizabeth Popham.² He married Jane Helen Shute, daughter of Samuel Shute and Henrietta Anna Margarette Gwyn, in 1820.² He died on 18 March 1853 at Shanklin, Isle of Wight, England^G.²
     He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Archdeacon of Berkshire.¹

     Nina Mary Benita Poore was born on 13 May 1878.¹ She was the daughter of Major Robert Poore and Juliana Benita Lowry-Corry.¹ She married Alfred Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 13th Duke of Hamilton, son of Captain Charles Henry Hamilton and Elizabeth Anne Hill, on 4 December 1901.¹ She died on 12 January 1951 at age 72.³
     She was appointed Lady, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (L.St.J.)¹ After her marriage, Nina Mary Benita Poore was styled as Duchess of Hamilton on 4 December 1901.⁴ She was DGStJ, chairman exec cncl Animal Def Soc, held HM QUEEN MARY’s canopy at Coronation in 1911.⁵ She was President of the Animal Defence and Anti-Vivisection Society.⁴

     Margaret de Rie married William de Mandeville, son of Geoffrey Mandeville and Athelaise (?).

     Juliana Benita Lowry-Corry was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Armar Lowry-Corry and Elizabeth Rosetta Massy-Dawson.¹ She married Major Robert Poore, son of Robert Montagu Poore and Anna Maria Massy-Dawson, on 5 May 1863.² She died on 8 September 1926.²
     From 5 May 1863, her married name became Poore.

     Rear-Admiral Armar Lowry-Corry married Elizabeth Rosetta Massy-Dawson, daughter of James Hewitt Massy-Dawson and Eliza Jane Dennis, on 10 September 1842.² He died on 1 May 1855.²
     He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in the Royal Navy.¹

     Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 14th Duke of Hamilton was born on 3 February 1903 at 71 Eccleston Square, Pimlico, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Alfred Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 13th Duke of Hamilton and Nina Mary Benita Poore.¹ He married Lady Elizabeth Ivy Percy, daughter of Alan Ian Percy, 8th Duke of Northumberland and Lady Helen Magdalan Gordon-Lennox, on 2 December 1937 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.^4,5 He died on 30 March 1973 at age 70.^4,6
     He was styled as Marquess of Douglas and Clydesdale between 1904 and 1940.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for East Renfrewshire between 1930 and 1940.⁴ He was as Chief Pilot for the Houston Everest Expedition, being the first man to fly over Mt.      William Douglas, 1st Earl of Douglas was born circa 1330.¹ He was the son of Sir Archibald Douglas and Beatrice de Lindsay.² He married Margaret, Countess of Mar, daughter of Donald, 8th Earl of Mar and Isabella Stewart, before 13 November 1357.² He died in May 1384 at Douglas, Scotland^G.¹ He was buried at Melrose, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.²
     On 26 May 1342 he inherited the vast Douglas family estates from his uncle, Hugh Douglas.¹ He murdered Sir William Douglas in August 1353, without male issue.³ In August 1353 he slew his kinsman, William Douglas.¹ He fought in the Battle of Poitiers on 19 September 1356, where he was wounded.¹ After his marriage, William Douglas, 1st Earl of Douglas was styled as Earl of Mar before 13 November 1357. He was created 1st Earl of Douglas [Scotland] on 26 January 1357/58.² He held the office of Warden of the Marches.² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.⁴
     

     Margaret, Countess of Mar was the daughter of Donald, 8th Earl of Mar and Isabella Stewart.¹ She married, firstly, William Douglas, 1st Earl of Douglas, son of Sir Archibald Douglas and Beatrice de Lindsay, before 13 November 1357.¹ She married, secondly, Sir John de Swinton of that Ilk, son of Henry Swinton of Swinton, between 1385 and July 1388.¹ She died between March 1391 and November 1393, without surviving male issue.¹
     After her marriage, Margaret, Countess of Mar was styled as Countess of Douglas on 26 January 1358. She succeeded as the 10th Countess of Mar [S., c. 1115] circa 1374, suo jure.²

     Sir Archibald Douglas was the son of Sir William ‘Le Hardi’ Douglas of that Ilk.² He married Beatrice de Lindsay, daughter of Sir Alexander de Lindsay.³ He died on 19 July 1333, slain.¹
     He held the office of Regent of Scotland between April 1333 and July 1333.¹

     Beatrice de Lindsay was the daughter of Sir Alexander de Lindsay.² She married, firstly, Sir Archibald Douglas, son of Sir William ‘Le Hardi’ Douglas of that Ilk.³ She married, secondly, Sir Robert Erskine of that Ilk, son of Sir William Erskine of that Ilk.³
     Her married name became Erskine.³ Her married name became Douglas.³ She was also known as Beatrix.³
