     Wilhelm Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg was born on 4 July 1535. He was the son of Ernst I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Sophie von Mecklenburg-Schwerin.¹ He married Dorothea Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark, daughter of Christian III Oldenburg, King of Denmark and Dorothea von Sachsen-Lauenburg, on 12 October 1561. He died on 20 August 1592 at age 57.
     Wilhelm Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg also went by the nick-name of Wilhelm ‘the Younger’.³ He was a member of the House of Guelph.³ He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg in 1559.³

     Ernst I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg was born on 26 June 1497 at Velzen^G. He was the son of Heinrich II Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Margaret von Sachsen.² He married Sophie von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, daughter of Heinrich V Herzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin and Ursula von Hohenzollern, on 2 June 1528 at Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany^G. He died on 11 January 1547 at age 49.
     Ernst I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg also went by the nick-name of Ernst ‘the Confessor’.² He was a member of the House of Guelph.² He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg in 1522.²

     Heinrich Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Dannenberg was born on 4 June 1533. He was the son of Ernst I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Sophie von Mecklenburg-Schwerin.¹ He married Ursula von Sachsen-Lauenburg, daughter of Franz I Herzog von Sachsen-Lauenburg and Sybille von Sachsen-Freiberg, on 30 March 1569 at Artlinburg^G. He died on 19 January 1598 at age 64 at Dannenberg, Germany^G.
     He was a member of the House of Guelph.² He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg in 1559. He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Dannenberg in 1569.²

     August Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 10 April 1579 at Dannenberg, Germany^G. He was the son of Heinrich Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Dannenberg and Ursula von Sachsen-Lauenburg.¹ He married, firstly, Clara Marie von Pommern-Barth, daughter of Bogislaw XIII Herzog von Pommern-Barth and Clara Herzogin von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, on 13 December 1607. He married, secondly, Sophie Dorothea Prinzessin von Anhalt-Zerbst, daughter of Rudolf Prinz von Anhalt-Zerbst and Dorothea Hedwig Herzogin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, on 26 October 1623 at Zerbst^G. He married, thirdly, Sophie Elisabeth von Mecklenburg-Güstrow, daughter of Johann Albrecht II Herzog von Mecklenburg-Güstrow and Elisabeth von Hessen-Kassel, on 13 July 1635. He died on 17 September 1666 at age 87 at Wolfenbüttel, Niedersachsen, Germany.
     He was a member of the House of Guelph.³ August Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel also went by the nick-name of August ‘the Younger’.³ He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel in 1635.³

     Ferdinand Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 22 May 1636. He was the son of August Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Sophie Elisabeth von Mecklenburg-Güstrow.¹ He married Christine von Hessen-Eschewege, daughter of Friedrich Landgraf von Hessen-Eschewege and Eleanor Catherine Pfalzgräfin von Zweibrücken, on 25 November 1667. He died on 25 April 1687 at age 50.
     He gained the title of Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel.

     Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel was born on 9 October 1735 at Wolfenbüttel, Niedersachsen, Germany.³ He was the son of Karl I Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Philippine Charlotte Prinzessin von Preußen.¹ He married Augusta Hanover, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland, daughter of Frederick Louis Hanover, Prince of Wales and Auguste Prinzessin von Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg, on 16 January 1764 at St. James’s Palace, Chapel Royal, St. James’s, London, England^G.⁴ He died on 10 November 1806 at age 71 at Auerstadt, Germany^G, killed in action.¹
     He was a member of the House of Guelph.⁵ He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel in 1780.¹ He fought in the Battle of Auerstadt on 10 November 1806.

     Alice FitzRoy was born illegitimately in 1110.^1,3 She was the daughter of Henry I ‘Beauclerc’, King of England.¹ She married Mathieu I, seigneur de Montmorency seigneur de d’Ecouen, de Marly et de Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, son of Bouchard IV, seigneur de Montmorency seigneur d’Ecouen et Marly and Agnès de Beaumont-sur-Oise, dame de Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, in 1126.² She died before 1141.²
     She was also known as Aline.¹

     Mathieu I, seigneur de Montmorency seigneur de d’Ecouen, de Marly et de Conflans-Sainte-Honorine was born in 1100.² He was the son of Bouchard IV, seigneur de Montmorency seigneur d’Ecouen et Marly and Agnès de Beaumont-sur-Oise, dame de Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.³ He married, firstly, Alice FitzRoy, daughter of Henry I ‘Beauclerc’, King of England, in 1126.³ He married, secondly, Adelaide di Savoia, daughter of Umberto II Conte di Savoia and Gisèle de Bourgogne-Comté, in 1141.³ He died in 1160.²
     He held the office of Constable of France between 1138 and 1160.¹

     Joan (?) was born illegitimately.¹ She was the daughter of Henry I ‘Beauclerc’, King of England.¹ She married Fergus, Lord of Galloway.¹
     She was also known as Elizabeth (?)¹

     Charlotte Amelia Elphinstone was born on 24 May 1846.¹ She was the daughter of Alexander Elphinstone of Glack and Charlotte Hunter.¹ She was baptised on 25 June 1846 at Church of St. Nicholas, Brighton, Sussex, England.²
