     Anne Messel was born on 8 February 1902 at Gloucester Terrace, London, England^G.³ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Leonard Charles Rudolph Messel and Maud Frances Sambourne.^4,3 She married, firstly, Ronald Owen Lloyd Armstrong-Jones, son of Sir Robert Armstrong-Jones and Margaret Elizabeth Roberts, on 22 July 1925.⁴ She and Ronald Owen Lloyd Armstrong-Jones were divorced circa 1934.⁴ She married, secondly, Laurence Michael Harvey Parsons, 6th Earl of Rosse, son of William Edward Parsons, 5th Earl of Rosse and Frances Lois Lister-Kaye, on 19 September 1935.⁴ She died on 3 July 1992 at age 90.³
     From 22 July 1925, her married name became Armstrong-Jones. From 19 September 1935, her married name became Parsons. After her marriage, Anne Messel was styled as Countess of Rosse on 19 September 1935.

     Lucy Mary Davies was born on 11 March 1941 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ She is the daughter of Donald Brook Davies.³ She married, firstly, Sir Michael Edward Lindsay-Hogg, 5th Bt., son of Sir Edward William Lindsay-Hogg, 4th Bt. and Geraldine Mary Fitzgerald, in 1967.⁴ She and Sir Michael Edward Lindsay-Hogg, 5th Bt. were divorced in 1971.⁴ She married, secondly, Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon, son of Ronald Owen Lloyd Armstrong-Jones and Anne Messel, on 21 July 1978 at Kensington, London, England^G.¹ She and Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon were divorced in 2000.⁵
     From 1967, her married name became Lindsay-Hogg. She was a production assistant with Thames TV.⁴ From 21 July 1978, her married name became Armstrong-Jones.
