     He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1989.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Commander Guy Stewart Laurence was born on 30 June 1896 at Guyana^G. He was the son of Henry Hamilton Laurence and Mary Butler. He married, firstly, Eileen Waterhouse in 1939 at Kensington, London, England^G.² He married, secondly, Barbara Alison Symons, daughter of John Symons and Marjorie Beatrice Wool, in 1951 at Kensington, London, England^G.³ He died on 10 October 1982 at age 86.

     After her marriage, Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones was styled as Countess of Wessex on 19 July 1999. After her marriage, Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones was styled as Duchess of Edinburgh on 10 March 2023.

     Christopher Bournes Rhys-Jones was born on 19 June 1931. He is the son of Theophilius Rhys-Jones and Margaret Patricia Newall Molesworth.² He married Mary O’Sullivan, daughter of Cornelius Thomas O’Sullivan, on 24 June 1961.²

     David Bournes Rhys-Jones was born on 19 February 1963.² He is the son of Christopher Bournes Rhys-Jones and Mary O’Sullivan.¹ He married Zara Louise Freeland, daughter of Hugh Spencer Freeland, on 28 September 1996.²
