Leonard Charles Rudolph Messel and Maud Frances Sambourne, on 22 July 1925.4 He and Anne Messel were divorced circa 1934.4 He married, secondly, Gwendoline Carol Akhurst Coombe, daughter of Sir Thomas Melrose Coombe, on 18 June 1936.3 He and Gwendoline Carol Akhurst Coombe were divorced in 1959.3 He married, thirdly, Jenifer Monro Unite, daughter of Basil Unite, on 11 February 1960 at Kensington Registry Office, Kensington, London, EnglandG.5 He died on 27 January 1966 at age 66.5
