Georg Wilhelm Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg was born on 16 January 1624. He was the son of Georg Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Anne Eleanore Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt.1 He married Eleonore Desnier, Countess of Williamsburg, daughter of Alexandre II Desnier, Marquis de Desmiers and Jacquette Poussard, on 15 September 1665. He died on 28 October 1705 at age 81 at Wienhausen, GermanyG.
He succeeded as the Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg in 1641.1

Eleonore Desnier, Countess of Williamsburg was born on 17 January 1639 at OlbreuseG. She was the daughter of Alexandre II Desnier, Marquis de Desmiers and Jacquette Poussard.3 She married Georg Wilhelm Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, son of Georg Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Anne Eleanore Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt, on 15 September 1665. She died on 5 February 1722 at age 83.
She gained the title of Countess of Williamsburg.

He married Magdalena Augusta von Anhalt-Zerbst, daughter of Karl Wilhelm Prinz von Anhalt-Zerbst and Sofie Prinzessin von Sachsen-Weissenfels, on 7 June 1696. He died on 23 March 1732 at age 55 at Altenburg, GermanyG.
He was a member of the House of Wettin. He gained the title of Herzog von Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg.1

James Waldegrave, 2nd Earl Waldegrave 
James Waldegrave, 2nd Earl Waldegrave was born on 4 March 1714/15.2,3 He was the son of James Waldegrave, 1st Earl Waldegrave and Mary Webb.4 He married, firstly, unknown daughter Drax, daughter of Henry Drax and Elizabeth Ernle, circa December 1754. He married, secondly, Maria Walpole, daughter of Hon. Sir Edward Walpole and Dorothy Clement, on 15 May 1759.2 He was also reported to have been married on 17 May 1759.5 He died on 13 April 1763 at age 48 from smallpox.3
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Chewton, co. Somerset [G.B., 1729] on 11 April 1741.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl Waldegrave, co. Northampton [G.B., 1729] on 11 April 1741.4 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Waldegrave of Chewton, co. Somerset [E., 1686] on 11 April 1741.4 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Waldegrave, of Hever Castle, Kent [E., 1643] on 11 April 1741.4 He held the office of Lord of the Bedchamber between 1743 and 1752.4 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1749.4 He held the office of Lord Warden of the Stannaries between 1751 and 1762.4 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1752.4 He held the office of Governor to the Prince of Wales and Prince Edward between 1752 and 1756.4 He wrote the book Historical Memoirs, published between 1754 and 1758.4 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1757.4 He held the office of Teller of the Exchequer between 1757 and 1763.4 He held the office of Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury from 8 June 1757 to 12 June 1757.4 He wrote the book Historical Memoirs 1754-58.4
