Stuart Whitemore Chant-Sempill, son of Norman James Whitemore Chant, on 28 October 1948.1 She died in 1995.1
     She gained the rank of Petty Officer in the Women’s Royal Naval Service, during the Second World War.1 From 1945, her married name became Holt.1 She succeeded as the 20th Lady Sempill [S., 1488] on 30 December 1965.1
