Major Hon. Frederick Le Poer Trench1 
He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 52nd Oxfordshire Light Infantry.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 40th Regiment.2 He fought in the New Zealand Wars between 1864 and 1866, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 40th Foot.2

Frederick Mason Trench, 2nd Baron Ashtown1 
He held the office of High Sheriff of County Galway in 1840.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Ashtown, of Moate, co. Galway [I., 1800] on 1 May 1840.1 On 12 July 1855 his claim to the Peerage was admitted.1 His last will was dated 10 July 1879.
