Frederick Trench, 1st Baron Ashtown1 
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Maryborough [Ireland] between 1785 and 1790.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Portarlington [Ireland] between 1798 and 1800.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Portarlington [U.K.] in 1800.1 He was bribed to support the Union with Ireland, to which he had formerly been opposed, and was subsequently made a Peer.1 He was created 1st Baron Ashtown, of Moate, co. Galway [Ireland] on 27 December 1800, with a special remainder to the heirs male of his father.1 He lived at Woodlawn, Kilconnell, County Galway, IrelandG.1
