Edmond Butler, 8th Baron Dunboyne1 
He succeeded as the 8th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] in 1445.1 In 1452 he acquired the castle and feudal Barony of Kiltinan from his cousin, Edmond fitz Thomas Butler.1 In 1453 he entailed Manor of Drangan and other lands on his brothers and cousin.1 Before 1457 Seneschal liberty of Tipperary.1 In 1460 he was attainted as part of the feuding arising from the Wars of the Roses.1 In 1462 he was granted the office of Seneschal liberty of Tipperary as a hereditary post by the 6th Earl of Ormonde.1 In 1472 his attainder was reversed by Parliament.1
