     Isabel Elphinstone is the daughter of William Elphinstone of Calderhaugh.¹ She married Andrew Houstoun of Calderhall, son of Andrew Houstoun of Gartland and Jean Macdowell, on 5 October 1694.¹

     Andrew Houstoun of Calderhaugh was born on 25 December 1702.¹ He was the son of Andrew Houstoun of Calderhall and Isabel Elphinstone.² He married Nellie Waddell.¹ He died on 28 July 1786 at age 83.¹

     Nellie Waddell married Andrew Houstoun of Calderhaugh, son of Andrew Houstoun of Calderhall and Isabel Elphinstone.¹
     Her married name became Calderhaugh.

     General Sir William Houstoun of Calderhall, 1st Bt. was born on 10 August 1766.¹ He was the son of Andrew Houstoun of Calderhaugh and Nellie Waddell.² He married Lady Jane Maitland, daughter of James Maitland, 7th Earl of Lauderdale and Mary Turner Lombe, on 5 November 1808.¹ He died on 8 April 1842 at age 75.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 20th Regiment.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.)¹ He was created 1st Baronet Houstoun, of Calderhall [U.K.] on 19 July 1836.¹

     Grace Violet Platts married Walter Westropp Odell, son of Walter Lincoln Odell and Agnes Alice Mew.¹ She died on 2 August 1958.¹
     Her married name became Odell.¹

     Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. was born on 4 October 1809.¹ He was the son of General Sir William Houstoun of Calderhall, 1st Bt. and Lady Jane Maitland.² He married Euphemia Boswall, daughter of Thomas Boswall of Blackadder, on 22 February 1847.¹ He died on 8 January 1886 at age 76.¹
     He was given the name of George Augustus Frederick Houstoun at birth.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Houstoun, of Calderhall [U.K., 1836] on 8 April 1842.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berwickshire.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     Euphemia Boswall was the daughter of Thomas Boswall of Blackadder.¹ She married Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt., son of General Sir William Houstoun of Calderhall, 1st Bt. and Lady Jane Maitland, on 22 February 1847.¹ She died on 29 December 1882.¹

     Sir George Lauderdale Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 3rd Bt. was born on 11 December 1847.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall.² He married Phoebe Allan, daughter of Sir Hugh Allan, on 1 March 1877.¹ He died on 8 February 1908 at age 60.¹
     He was Convenor of the Berwickshire County Council.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Houstoun, of Calderhall [U.K., 1836] on 8 January 1886.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berwickshire.¹

     Sir Hugh Allan is the son of Captain Alexander Allan.²

     Phoebe Allan was the daughter of Sir Hugh Allan.² She married Sir George Lauderdale Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 3rd Bt., son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall, on 1 March 1877.¹ She died on 24 December 1904.¹
     From 1 March 1877, her married name became Houstoun-Boswall.¹
