     Robert Houstoun-Boswall-Preston was born on 11 December 1852.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall.2 He died on 12 February 1913 at age 60, unmarried.1
     He was given the name of Robert Houstoun-Boswall at birth.3 On 20 July 1908 his name was legally changed to Robert Houstoun-Boswall-Preston by Royal Licence.3

Alfred Houstoun-Boswall1

     Alfred Houstoun-Boswall was born on 13 February 1854.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall.2 He married Emmeline Charlotte Frances de Winton, daughter of Robert Henry de Winton and Frances Caroline Allan, on 22 July 1891.1 He died on 29 April 1920 at age 66.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the East Lothian Yeomanry Cavalry.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland.1

She was the daughter of Robert Henry de Winton and Frances Caroline Allan.2 She married Alfred Houstoun-Boswall, son of Colonel Sir George Augustus Frederick Houstoun-Boswall of Blackadder, 2nd Bt. and Euphemia Boswall, on 22 July 1891.1 She died on 6 June 1947.1
     From 22 July 1891, her married name became Houstoun-Boswall.1
