     Francis Lennard, 14th Lord Dacre was born on 11 May 1619.¹ He was the son of Richard Lennard, 13th Lord Dacre and Elizabeth Throckmorton.¹ He married Elizabeth Bayning, Countess of Shepey, daughter of Paul Bayning, 1st Viscount Bayning of Sudbury and Anne Glemham, in 1641.³ He died on 12 May 1662 at age 43.¹
     He succeeded as the 14th Lord Dacre [E., 1321] on 18 August 1630.¹ In 1635 he claimed the estae of Gilsland on the death of Randolf Dacre, but the Howard family then in possession obliged him to accept the Manor of Dacre.¹ He was educated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sussex in 1654.¹

     Elizabeth Bayning, Countess of Shepey was born in 1624.² She was the daughter of Paul Bayning, 1st Viscount Bayning of Sudbury and Anne Glemham.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Gen. David Walter.³ She married, firstly, Francis Lennard, 14th Lord Dacre, son of Richard Lennard, 13th Lord Dacre and Elizabeth Throckmorton, in 1641.¹ She died in 1686.²
     Her married name became Walter.³ From 1641, her married name became Lennard.¹ She was created Countess of Shepey [Engalnd] on 6 September 1680, for life.³

     Elizabeth Astley is the daughter of George Astley.¹ She married James Ashton, son of Samuel Ashton and Mary Oldham.¹
     Her married name became Ashton.¹

     Anne Lennard, Baroness Dacre was born on 17 August 1684.² She was the daughter of Thomas Lennard, 1st and last Earl of Essex and Lady Anne Palmer.² She married, firstly, Richard Barrett, son of Dacre Barrett and Lady Jane Chichester, on 15 July 1716 at London, England^G.¹ She married, secondly, Henry Roper, 8th Baron Teynham, son of Christopher Roper, 5th Baron Teynham and Hon. Elizabeth Browne, in March 1717/18.¹ She married, thirdly, Hon. Robert Moore, son of Henry Hamilton-Moore, 3rd Earl of Drogheda and Mary Cole, on 16 October 1725 at London, England^G.¹ She died on 26 June 1755 at age 70.²
     She was Roman Catholic.² From 15 July 1716, her married name became Barrett-Lennard. She sold the Chevening estate, Kent for £28,000 in 1717 to James Stanhope, 1st Earl Stanhope.² From March 1717/18, her married name became Roper. After her marriage, Anne Lennard, Baroness Dacre was styled as Baroness Teynham in March 1717/18. From 16 October 1725, her married name became Moore. She succeeded as the 16th Baroness Dacre [E., 1321] in 1741, suo jure, when the abeyance was terminated in her favour.²

     Richard Barrett was the son of Richard Lennard, 13th Lord Dacre and Dorothy North.² He married Anne Loftus, daughter of Sir Robert Loftus and Elinor Rushe.¹ He died in 1696.²
     He lived at Belhus, Essex, England.³ He was given the name of Richard Lennard at birth.² Richard Barrett title’s name changed to Richard Barrett under the terms of the will of his 2nd cousin, once removed, Sir Edward Barrett, 1st Lord Barret of Newburgh.²

     Dacre Barrett was the son of Richard Barrett and Anne Loftus.¹ He married, firstly, Lady Jane Chichester, daughter of Arthur Chichester, 2nd Earl of Donegall and Jane Itchingham.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Moore, daughter of Thomas Moore.¹ He married, thirdly, Sarah Luckyn, daughter of Sir Capell Luckyn, 2nd Bt. and Mary Grimston.¹ He died in 1733.¹

     Richard Barrett was born in October 1682. He was the son of Dacre Barrett and Lady Jane Chichester.¹ He married Anne Lennard, Baroness Dacre, daughter of Thomas Lennard, 1st and last Earl of Essex and Lady Anne Palmer, on 15 July 1716 at London, England^G.² He died on 24 December 1716 at age 34 at London, England^G.

     Lady Jane Chichester was the daughter of Arthur Chichester, 2nd Earl of Donegall and Jane Itchingham.¹ She married Dacre Barrett, son of Richard Barrett and Anne Loftus.¹
     Her married name became Barrett.¹

     Arthur Chichester, 2nd Earl of Donegall was the son of Lt.-Col. John Chichester and Lady Mary Jones.² He married Jane Itchingham, daughter of John Itchingham and Sarah Loftus, from 30 November 1660 to 26 March 1661.² He died on 26 October 1678 at Ireland^G.²
     He was appointed Knight in 1660.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dungannon between 1661 and 1666.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1672.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Donegall [I., 1647] on 18 March 1674/75.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Chichester of Belfast, co. Antrim [I., 1625] on 18 March 1674/75.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Chichester of Carrickfergus, co. Antrim [I., 1625] on 18 March 1674/75.¹
