Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts and Dorothy Frances Bowser, on 13 December 1975.¹

     Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts is the son of Rt. Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts and Dorothy Frances Bowser.^1,2 He married Hon. Priscilla Jane Stephanie Low, daughter of Toby Austin Richard William Low, 1st Baron Aldington and Felicité Ann Araminta MacMichael, on 13 December 1975.¹
     He was appointed Lieutenant, Royal Victorian Order (L.V.O.) in 1995.³ He was a director of the Royal Collection and Surveyor of the Queen’s Works of Art between 1996 and 1999.¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1998.³ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 2001.³

     Rt. Rev. Edward James Keymer Roberts was born on 18 April 1908 at Friern Barnet, London, England.² He married, firstly, Dorothy Frances Bowser, daughter of Rev. Canon Edwin David Bowser, in 1941.³ He married, secondly, Diana Mary Cameron Bruce, daughter of Major Ewen Cameron Bruce and Eugenie Mary Alice Power, in 1984.⁴ He died in 2001.²
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.² He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.² He was educated at Cuddesdon Theological College, Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire, England^G.² He held the office of Bishop of Ely between 1964 and 1977.¹

     Thomas Lennard, 1st and last Earl of Essex was born on 13 May 1654.¹ He was the son of Francis Lennard, 14th Lord Dacre and Elizabeth Bayning, Countess of Shepey.¹ He married Lady Anne Palmer, daughter of Charles II Stuart, King of Great Britain and Barbara Villiers, Duchess of Cleveland, on 16 May 1674.¹ He died on 30 October 1715 at age 61, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 15th Lord Dacre [E., 1321] on 12 May 1662.¹ He was created 1st Earl of Essex [England] on 5 October 1674.¹ On his death death, his earldom became extinct and his barony fell into abeyance between his two daughters.¹

     Sophie Jane Cecilia Roberts was born on 28 March 1978.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts and Hon. Priscilla Jane Stephanie Low.¹ She married Richard Denis Ruthven Goulding, son of Jeremy Wynne Ruthven Goulding and Isobel M. Fisher, on 25 October 2008 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.²
     She was educated at Downe House^G.¹ She was educated at York University, York, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ From 25 October 2008, her married name became Goulding.²

     Amelia Frances Albinia Roberts was born in 1982.² She is the daughter of Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts and Hon. Priscilla Jane Stephanie Low.¹ She married Frederick Charles de Rougemont, son of Clive Irving de Rougemont and Elizabeth A. Butler, on 6 February 2010 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.³
     She was educated at Downe House^G.² From 6 February 2010, her married name became de Rougemont.³

Lucy Ann Anthea Low was born on 29 April 1956.¹ She is the daughter of Toby Austin Richard William Low, 1st Baron Aldington and Felicité Ann Araminta MacMichael.¹ She married Alasdair North Grant Laing, son of Alexander Grant Laing and Graeme Elizabeth Dalrymple-Hamilton, on 2 February 1979.¹
     She was educated at Cranborne Chase School, Dorset, England^G.¹ She was educated at Camberwell College of Arts, London, England^G.¹ From 2 February 1979, her married name became Laing.¹ She lived in 1999 at Logie House, Forres, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Alasdair North Grant Laing was born on 30 December 1949.² He is the son of Alexander Grant Laing and Graeme Elizabeth Dalrymple-Hamilton.¹ He married Hon. Lucy Ann Anthea Low, daughter of Toby Austin Richard William Low, 1st Baron Aldington and Felicité Ann Araminta MacMichael, on 2 February 1979.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 2002.² He lived in 2003 at Logie House, Forres, Morayshire, Scotland.²

     Graeme Elizabeth Dalrymple-Hamilton was born on 29 October 1926.² She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Frederick Hew George Dalrymple-Hamilton and Gwendolen Peek.^1,2 She married Alexander Grant Laing, son of Hector Stanley Laing and Margaret Norris Grant, on 8 June 1948.² She died on 27 April 2018 at age 91.³
     From 8 June 1948, her married name became Laing. She lived in 2003 at Relugas House, Forres, Morayshire, Scotland.²

     Alexander Grant Laing was the son of Hector Stanley Laing and Margaret Norris Grant.² He married Graeme Elizabeth Dalrymple-Hamilton, daughter of Admiral Sir Frederick Hew George Dalrymple-Hamilton and Gwendolen Peek, on 8 June 1948.² He died in 1988.²
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹
