     Samuel Steuart Gladstone of Capenoch was born on 26 July 1837.¹ He was the son of Thomas Steuart Gladstone and Elizabeth Field Clark.^2,3 He married Sophia Musgrave, daughter of Sir George Musgrave, 10th Bt. and Charlotte Graham, on 3 August 1869.¹ He died on 6 May 1909 at age 71.¹
     He lived at Capenoch, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.⁴ He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.)⁴

     Cecil Emily Chetwynd-Talbot was the daughter of Gustavus Arthur Chetwynd-Talbot and Susan Frances Elwes.^1,2 She married Sir Hugh Steuart Gladstone of Capenoch, son of Samuel Steuart Gladstone of Capenoch and Sophia Musgrave, on 24 January 1907.¹ She died on 6 July 1949.¹
     From 24 January 1907, her married name became Gladstone.

     Lilias Hastings married William Cotts, son of William Cotts and Marion Russell.¹
     Her married name became Cotts.¹

     S/Ldr. Claude Alastair Blyth Rome was born on 7 November 1907 at St. Marylebone, London, England^G.² He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Claude Stuart Rome and Hon. Grace Loudenne Blyth.¹ He married Agnes Nivison Cotts, daughter of Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Bt. and Agnes Nivison Sloane, on 2 January 1941.¹ He and Agnes Nivison Cotts were divorced in 1952.¹ He died on 11 February 1987 at age 79 at Wantage, Berkshire, England^G.²
     He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹
