Alexander Elphinstone of Glack1 
On 8 August 1751 he was infeft on an entail executed by his father.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [N.S., 1701] in September 1758, de jure.1 He was admitted to advocate in 1766.1 He held the office of Sheriff Depute of Aberdeenshire in 1777.1

He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [N.S., 1701] on 26 November 1795, de jure.1 He was in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He held the office of Member of the Council of Bombay.1 He had nine other children.3
