     Elizabeth Sempill of Beltrees is the daughter of Robert Sempill of Beltrees and Marie Lyon.¹ She married George Maxwell of Newark, son of Sir Patrick Maxwell of Newark and Marion Campbell.¹
     Her married name became Maxwell.¹

     Frances Stanhope was the daughter of Sir Edward Stanhope and Susan Colshill.^1,2 She married Patrick Maule, 1st Earl of Panmure, son of Patrick Maule and Margaret Erskine, circa 1616.¹ She died in January 1623/24.¹
     From circa 1616, her married name became Maule.¹

     Sir Edward Stanhope was born circa 1543.² He was the son of Sir Michael Stanhope and Ann Rawson.³ He married Susan Colshill, daughter of Thomas Colshill.² He died on 12 August 1603.²
     He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nottinghamshire from 1571 to 1572.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Yorkshire in 1601.² He was appointed Knight in 1601.² He lived at Grimston, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Janet Durie is the daughter of David Durie of that Ilk and Catherine Douglas.¹ She married Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes, son of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes and Agnes Somerville, circa 1592.¹
     After her marriage, Janet Durie was styled as Countess of Rothes circa 1592. From circa 1592, her married name became Leslie.¹

     David Durie of that Ilk married Catherine Douglas, daughter of Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven and Margaret Erskine, in 1557.²

     Patrick Kinnaird was the son of Patrick Kinnaird and Elizabeth Gray.² A contract for the marriage of Patrick Kinnaird and Eupheme Gray was signed on 2 October 1609.² He died circa 1658.¹
     He lived at Inchture, Perthshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Eupheme Gray is the daughter of Gilbert Gray.¹ A contract for the marriage of Eupheme Gray and Patrick Kinnaird was signed on 2 October 1609.²
     From 2 October 1609, her married name became Kinnaird.²

     Gilbert Gray lived at Bandirran, Scotland^G.¹

     David Moncreiffe was the son of James Moncreiffe, 4th of Easter Rhynd and Margaret Tyrie of Drumkilbo.^1,2 He married Isabel Robertson, daughter of William Robertson, 10th of Struan, 6th Chief of Clan Donnachaidh.³ He died circa 1625.¹

     James Moncreiffe, 4th of Easter Rhynd was the son of Hew Moncreiffe, 1st of Easter Rhynd and Elisabeth Dischington.¹ He married, firstly, Eupheme Dundas, daughter of unknown Dundas, before 1550.² He and Eupheme Dundas were divorced in 1550.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Tyrie of Drumkilbo after 1550.¹ He died in 1587.¹
     In 1544 he took part with the Laird of Moncreiffe in the unsuccessful rebellion of Lennox and Glencairn against the Regent Arran.²
