John Patrick Aubone Burnett, Baron Burnett1
He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He was with the Royal Marines between 1964 and 1970.1 He was a practising solicitor in 1975.1 He was a partner with Burd Pearse between 1976 and 1997 at Okehampton, Devon, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal Democrat) for Devon West and Torridge.1 He was created Baron Burnett, of Whitchurch in the County of Devon [U.K. Life Peer] in May 2006.1

John Sinclair, 9th Lord Sinclair1 
He succeeded as the 9th Lord Sinclair [S., 1449] between 1615 and 1617.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1641.1 In 1646 originally a Covenanter (opposed to King Charles I’s scheme of Church government in Scotland involving bishops) but supported Charles I and joined King Charles II’s expedition to England.1 He fought in the Battle of Worcester on 3 September 1651, he was captured by Cromwell’s forces and held prisoner.1 In 1659 he resigned his estates in favour of his only surviving daughter but without resignation of his peerage.1
